DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES|About the role
The accountant’s role is responsible for managing financial data input for the company. This role involves supporting the preparation of financial statements, examining and analysing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, tax regulations, internal policies and procedures.
This role reports to Senior Finance Manager
Accounts Payables and Fixed Asset Reporting
· Maintenance of vendor master
· Preparation of bi-monthly payment proposal including loan application
· Monthly submission of SST-02 return
· Issuance of Debit and Credit Notes to customer
· Maintenance of fixed assets module (creation, disposal, depreciation,transfer,write-off,etc).
· Attend to audit and tax queries (internal & external)
· Undertake and perform any ad hoc task assigned by line manager / head of department
Accounts Receivables
· Maintenance of customer master
· Monitoring receipts and collections
· Posting of customer receipts
· Resolve problems in relation to Invoice payments
· Assist in customer credit review (Eg. update CAF on time)
· Handle queries from internal sales team
· Preparation of weekly AR report
· Preparation of month end report
· Attend to audit and tax queries (internal & external)
· Undertake and perform any ad hoc task assigned by line manager / head of department
· Responsible to send daily Sales Invoice to MyInvois portal for eInvoice validation
Treasury
Cashflow forecast (monthly)
Update daily cashflow planning
Liaising with banker for all kind of Treasury related matter
Prepare weekly fx report for hedging purpose
Planning for loan applications and repayment
Taxation – Direct tax
· Attending to tax agent corporate tax questionnaires / update the working file
· Forecast and estimate tax payable (3 times a year)
· Compute provisional tax (year end closing)
·
Taxation – Indirect tax
· Withholding tax assessment, applicable, submission and on time payment
· SST – SToDS review and submission for refund request (bi-monthly)
· SST-02 tax return assessment and submission to Customs Malaysia (bi-monthly)
e-Invoicing
· Ensure on time submission of eInvoice for validation to IRB myInvois portal (Sales Invoice)
· Resolve eInvoice issue
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Accountancy / Finance
Minimum 5 years work experience in similar accounting and finance roles
Strong accounting/tax background
Strong analytical skills and good team player
Meticulous and proficient in MS office especially in MS Excel.
Efficient, hardworking and positive work attitude. Self-driven, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Ability to organize/allocate/delegate efficiently tasks among team with hands-on
Excellent command of written and verbal English
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in international Grou
